Ensemble “Frula” from Raska, Serbia performs this Friday 8/7 at St. Sava

If you didn’t make it to St. Sava Serb Fest 2015 (www.serbfest.org), you have a special opportunity to experience more Serbian Culuture with the folkore ensemble “Frula” from Raska, Serbia during a special performance taking place Friday, August 7, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pavilion at St. Sava Church in Merrillville, IN.

This performance is part of a tour the group will be making around the Midewest region of the U.S.

Also performing at this special event will be the St. Sava folklore group “Srbadija” composed of youth from the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church.

Tickets at the door will be $15 and children under 12 will be free. Proceeds will help support the travel expenses of the “Frula” ensemble.

Food and drink will be available for purchase.

Obilic Wins Serb Fest Tournament at St. Sava Church

The 2nd Annual Obilic Soccer Serb Fest Weekend Tournament Champion was won by team Obilic beating Uro Elite 2:1 in the finals match. Tournament organizers express great appreciation to all the teams, fans, and the referees participating in the this special tournament. Tournament organizers also send special thanks to Goran Sipka and Dave Callaway.

St. Sava Church also expresses appreciation for everyone participating in the tournament and helping to make St. Sava Serb Fest successful.
