The action takes place Saturday, May 30, 2026 at one of northwest Indiana’s premiere pickleball venues – Jean Shepherd Center located in Hammond, Indiana.
Join us for one of the most action-packed Pickleball Scrambles of 2026 with a guaranteed minimum of 7 games!
The special fundraising event hosted by St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church of Merrillville, Indiana will take place at the Jean Shepherd Center, one of northwest Indiana’s premiere pickleball venues. The scramble is being organized by our expert partners at 219 Pickelball handling all the groupings and scoring so all you have to focus on is the play and having fun!
Your registration fee of $95 includes the facility usage, fees to play, pizza, one water/pop drink ticket each, 7 games, trophy/medals and a well organized scramble run by 219 Pickleball.
The facility also has “Flick’s Kitchen” with a cash bar serving additional food and beverages available for purchase by participants and spectators.
Only 96 players will be able to participate in this event so act now to secure your ticket!
This is a coed doubles scramble (round robin format). Players will rotate partners throughout the event—no fixed partners.
Each session will include 48 players divided into groups of 8, with a guaranteed minimum of 7 games per player.
The first 48 players will start at 9:00 a.m., and the second group of 48 players will start at 1:00 p.m.
Players will be assigned to groups by 219 Pickleball.
We will NOT group players by official Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) as we want to promote and make it competitive and enjoyable for everyone. However, we do require every participant to have beginner level experience and choose from the options beginner, intermediate, or advanced+ during the registration process.
